APPLYING AS A TRANSFER STUDENT

The University of Hartford welcomes applications from students who have earned credit from other institutions of higher education. The University accepts applications on a rolling basis, but encourages all students to apply as early as possible.

All transfer students must submit:

•  application (apply online or download a printable application)

•  application fee of $35

•  all official collegiate transcripts from each previously attended institution, regardless of    achievement or desired credit

Students with less than thirty (30) completed semester hours at the time of application must also submit their standardized test scores (SAT I/ACT) and official, final high school transcript.

Applying as a transfer student to The Hartt School (music, dance and theatre):
In addition to the above documents you will also need to submit The Hartt Supplemental Application and schedule an audition/interview.

Applying as a transfer student to Hartford Art School :
In addition to the above documents you will also need to schedule a portfolio review. Visit Hartford Art School website for further information.

*Once all required documents have been successfully submitted and your file is deemed complete, you can expect a decision by mail within three to four weeks.

**Final decisions for Hartt and Art applicants will be made upon completion of audition/interview or portfolio review provided the applicant's file is complete.
