Admitted freshman and transfer students may be considered for need-based grants
by filing the FAFSA and demonstrating financial need. Need-based grants do not have to be repaid.
University Grants
These grants ranging up to full tuition are awarded
to students (US citizens or permanent residents)
who submit the FAFSA
and demonstrate financial need.
Federal Pell Grant
To be eligible for a Federal Pell Grant at the University, you must be matriculated in an undergraduate
program leading to an associate's degree or a first baccalaureate degree.
Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG)
The SEOG Program is designated to assist full-time undergraduate students who have not completed their first baccalaureate degree.
Federal regulations require that SEOG funds be distributed first to Federal Pell Grant recipients. However, eligibility
for a Federal Pell Grant does not guarantee SEOG eligibility. Due to limited federal funding, the University is able
to offer awards of $1,600 per year.
