Transfer Scholarships

President to President Scholarship- These non need-based awards are made available to undergraduates (citizens or permanent residents) who have earned an Associate's Degree from a Connecticut junior or community-technical college or from one of the following two-year colleges in Massachusetts:

  • Berkshire Community College
  • Holyoke Community College
  • Greenfield Community College
  • Springfield Technical Community College
  • Dean College

The presidents of these colleges may submit nominations for up to three students. Nominated students must: have earned a minimum 3.3 cumulative GPA based on a minimum of 45 credit hours, have been awarded their Associates degree and plan to enroll as full-time students. Each participating college may have established additional criteria.
The amount of the scholarship is $4,000 per semester (fall and spring semesters only), up to an aggregate of 4 semesters. The scholarship is renewable provided the student maintains satisfactory academic progress, full-time status and a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA. This scholarship may not be combined with any other non-need based award.
Students accepted into the Hartt School are not eligible to be considered for this scholarship. Students accepted into the Hartt School are awarded strictly based on performance. Non U.S. Citizens, part-time students, and students with a previous Bachelor’s degree are also ineligible for this scholarship.

 

Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship - These non need-based awards are made available to undergraduates (U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents) who have earned an Associate’s degree.

The Phi Theta Kappa Chapter Advisor must submit a letter of nomination for any qualified student. Nominated students must: have earned a minimum 3.5 cumulative GPA upon completion of their Associate’s degree and plan to enroll as full-time students immediately following their graduation from a two-year college,.

The amount of the scholarship is $4,000 per semester (fall and spring semesters only), up to an aggregate of 4 semesters. The student must enroll immediately following two-year college. The scholarship is renewable provided the student maintains satisfactory academic progress, full-time status and a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA. This scholarship may not be combined with any other non-need based award.

We must receive a nomination letter from the Phi Theta Kappa Chapter Advisor by this date.

Additional Requirement:
Students are required to provide proof of graduation in the form of an official final transcript from his or her previous college. This should be mailed to us after the degree is earned and is required before the scholarship can be awarded.
