International Studies
The world is changing rapidly and often with great unpredictability. Globalization has
affected every aspect of society: business, culture, art, government, the economy.
International Studies prepares students to live, think, and work in this changing climate.
The Department offers an interdisciplinary major and minor that provide students with
an in-depth immersion in global politics, history, cultures and arts. This major requires
foreign language study and encourages study abroad. During your senior year, you'll
participate in a capstone course that brings all International Studies majors together
to share their cultural, political, and economic analyses of a particular society.
You'll find exciting, internationally-oriented careers in business, politics, diplomacy,
language, and teaching.
