Accounting
Through theory and practice, the Barney School will prepare you for a career in public, financial, managerial or government
accounting. Course work includes studies in auditing, federal income tax laws, cost accounting, financial reporting, and
accounting information systems and integrates the fields of statistics, operations research, and computers.
Barney also offers a fifth-year of studies for eligible students who wish to continue to pursue a Master of Science in
Accounting and Taxation. This will fulfill the requirements of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the
state of Connecticut, and many other states to sit for the CPA exam.
