Did Dean Kamen's segway scooter, the "Self-balancing Human Transporter" fascinate you? Did the first enclosed artificial heart capture your interest? This program focuses on design and manufacturing, and finding the most cost-effective ways to produce optimal results. You will learn about the manufacturing process, from the drawing board to the consumer, including testing and compliance with industrial standards.

Graduates with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology work in a variety of manufacturing environments, from transportation to consumer products. Students may also take additional math and science courses to prepare for graduate work in engineering.
