Childhood Education
Do you want to be a positive influence on a child's early years of development? In this program, you will choose a focus of study
in working with children from birth to kindergarten or from preschool to grade 3. You'll develop the skills and knowledge
needed to address the physical, intellectual, language, social/emotional, and creative needs of young children, by taking courses
like Infant and Child Development. In addition, you will spend two semesters gaining practical experience in a nursery,
kindergarten, or grade 1, 2, or 3. One semester will be a half-day experience and one will be a full-day experience. Once you have
received your certification, you will be qualified to work in preschool, kindergarten, and grades 1, 2, and 3; or, in preschool
and kindergarten and with infants and toddlers.
