Music Education

The University of Hartford offers an extensive music education program through our prestigious Hartt School. The rare blend of conservatory within a university results in one of the nation's most comprehensive music education programs.

You may choose to pursue a four-year degree in either instrumental or vocal music education, a five-year double major in instrumental and vocal music education, or a five-year double major in instrumental music education and performance.

Hartt School faculty members in the program, in addition to their expertise in music education, are respected performers and researchers. They have extensive public school teaching experience and are leaders in early childhood, choral, and instrumental music education. The faculty is also nationally recognized for its research, teaching, and publications.
