Pre-Chiropractic

If you are fascinated by the body's muscular, nervous, and skeletal systems, you might want to consider a career in chiropractic
medicine. These licensed primary care physicians work directly with patients to diagnose and treat conditions of the body, and
counsel them on how correct posture, exercise, and nutrition affect their health. As part of this program, you'll spend your
first three years here at the University of Hartford Campus, completing general education and basic science requirements for the
Bachelor of Science degree.
After successfully completing this phase of the program, you'll spend three and one-third years completing advanced study in
science and clinical practice at the respected New York Chiropractic College, in Seneca Falls, NY. There you will take courses
in musculoskeletal physiopathology, spinal anatomy, and neuroanatomy, completing the Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) degree in a
little more than six years.
