Welcome to Admission & Financial Aid

Bates House, now the home of the Office of Admission & Student Financial Assistance, was once the house of Mrs. Harriet Sage Gabriel who owned the property on which the University of Hartford campus is now located. Across the middle of the campus there is a row of trees.from which descended a track toward a little river, known variously as the Hog River or the Park River that ran on past Nook Farm and the houses of Mark Twain and Harriet Beecher Stowe. Katharine Hepburn, whose family home is now a part of the University, remembers wandering through these fields. This historic house and location is the starting point of your virtual campus tour.
