Student Guided Campus Tours

Campus tours are offered Monday through Friday and select Saturdays with varying tour times. Please visit the link above for our complete tour schedule including tour times and dates we are closed due to holidays.

Campus tours generally last approximately 90 minutes. Please keep this in mind when scheduling interviews or other visits on campus. The tour is a walking tour provided rain or shine. Please take note of the weather conditions for appropriate dress and weather essentials (umbrellas!). For University closings and delays please call (860) 768-4100 the morning of your tour. The campus tour visits the library, cafeteria, a freshmen dorm room, the sports center, and a classroom. Please feel free to explore our campus after the tour to visit other campus resources. If you have mobility concerns please contact our office prior to your visit at: (800) 947-4303.

If you would like to bring a group of high school students to visit our campus please call (800) 947-4303 to arrange a group tour. Please note group tours are scheduled Monday through Friday during our office hours of 8:30am – 4:30pm.

Students interested in the Hartt School, the Hartford Art School, or the College of Engineering, Technology, and Architecture may contact their prospective college’s admission office or recruiter for additional information or interview.

Admission Interviews

The Office of Admission and Student Financial Assistance is open Monday through Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm. Admission interviews may be scheduled at 9:30am, 11:30am, 1:30pm, or 3:30pm. These informational interviews provide an opportunity for students and parents to speak with an admission counselor regarding admission requirements, academic programs, student life, etc. Our counselors are also able to answer any financial assistance questions you may have. Interviews are encouraged but are not a required part of the admissions process. Many prospective students also schedule a student-guided tour while visiting the campus for an interview. Overnight Host Program

The overnight host program is a great opportunity to show prospective students the academic and social atmosphere of the University of Hartford. As an overnight guest, you will be able to visit a class, take a tour of campus, eat in the university dining facilities, and meet current students. To participate in the fall semester, prospective students have to have applied to the University of Hartford. Overnights are held Monday-Thursday nights. Students generally arrive at 6 pm and stay until about noon the following day. The overnight program will be held from Monday, October 5 until Thursday, December 10 for the fall semester. Please schedule your visit at least two weeks in advance. All necessary paperwork must be completed and returned to the Admission Office no later than two days before your scheduled visit.
