DES 391 ST: Dreamweaver - 57574
This intensive Dreamweaver workshop introduces page layout, linking, navigation, site management and upload techniques. Students will investigate design trends, Flash elements, Photoshop images, HTML text and various search engines. This course will also explore the best web design that the web has to offer. Advanced Macintosh experience is required, including Photoshop and either Illustrator or Freehand. Flash experience is recommended.
Prerequisite: Advanced Macintosh experience Lab fee: $40.

EXS 390 ST: Experimental Techniques - 57587
This class will explore non-traditional mediums used to create images. Through class demonstrations and experimentation students will investigate various techniques, including 2D and 3D collage, acrylic transfer and the non-traditional use of oil paints, in the production of imagery. Lab fee: $40.
GRA 391 ST: Experimental Printmaking - 57600
This intensive workshop will focus on experimental printmaking processes utilizing the Vandercook press, etching press and the Epson 9500 large scale digital printer. After investigation into a variety of techniques such as chine colle', embossing, stenciling, cut plate, collagraph, carborundum, collage relief, monotype and digital, students will develop a body of work that follows their personal style and artistic interests. PHO 391 ST: Photo and Archaeology - 57613
This course comprises an introduction to archaeology, excavation techniques, material culture and the art of photography. It focuses on the application of photographic documentation throughout the excavation, processing and restoration of finds and fieldwork at Bethsaida , Israel . Daily work will include workshops, lectures, museum tours and visits to other archaeological sites around Israel . Cost is $3500, which includes field trips, airfare, and room and board for 20 days. Cost of academic credit is additional. You may also take the course for credit in: PHO 334, HIS 306/307, JS 306/307, POL 306/307, or SOC 306/307. Graduate credit is available by arrangement. SCL 390 ST: Non-Traditional Figure Sculpture - 57626 This class explores concepts of the figure/body in sculpture, including identity, narrative, interaction, installation and performance. Contemporary approaches to the sculptural use of the figure/body will be investigated. Students will research, develop and produce a self-directed piece utilizing processes and materials that are significant to the meaning and content of their work. Possible processes may include modeling, moulding, casting, carving assemblage and performance utilizing traditional and non-traditional materials. Prerequisite: SCL 220 or CER 220 or permission Lab fee: $40
